My Innovation Postbox – 1

“What is an Innovation Postbox?”

“I made that up Prasna**. I read years ago about a famous advertising man. He had a shoebox in his office. Whenever he came across something interesting, he would just put that in the shoe box. Whenever he had to write a new advertisement, he would rummage through the material, and get some inspiration and new ideas.”

“Fine. What is a innovation Postbox?”

“I have been collecting interesting articles, reports, links to sites etc over the last several months. I was going through it two days ago. I have a folder on my desktop for this. I also have Postbox. I mail tear sheets from news papers and magazines to myself in this Innovation Postbox. Together they make up I clear the mail, once in 30 days. If I find the stuff still interesting I will add here to ‘My Innovation Postbox’ ”

“What do you want your readers to do?”

“They can use anything they find relevant. More importantly they can share interesting stuff from their ‘shoebox’.”

“So what have you got for this month?”

“Take a look”

**Prasna Rao is an unusual friend. He appears every time I start writing something. He is almost always there when I am writing my blog. He asks questions that are razor sharp and often makes me uncomfortable. He is relentless till I answer his questions in simple, clear terms. You might find that he is most of the times asking questions that you want to. Therefore he is on your side, while he is putting me in the dock. I call him my Uninvited Coach
